Technique

Each project worked on in the studio reinvents the wheel of technique per its unique needs and material makeup. After the initial planning phase, we begin cutting the pieces and fitting the metals piece to the project, while making every effort to bend the metal without creating new indentations.
Unlike with wooden pieces, each creation in our studio contains at its base an independent iron frame that carries the weight (exactly like with cars), and the metal is the external “wrapping”. We occasionally weld pieces, however most of the process uses cold working: riveting or pasting (using dedicated industrial glues). The final polishing phase focuses on successfully combining all pieces of the project, and thoroughly refining the product to achieve the smooth, distinguished look of each project. The paint used comes from car paint warehouses, to ensure quality paint jobs. The projects also contain inner components made of wood and material linings. Usually, the raw materials that we work with arrive in the studio rusty and dented, but we don’t give up and using our own hands, succeed in creating pieces of rare quality.
We learnt that to achieve a level of unparalleled excellence in performance and quality, each phase must be completed to the best of our abilities. For this reason we perform quality control testing throughout the creation process, and choose to use tools and materials (and personal protective gear) of the highest quality. We believe that the workplace must provide security and safety – without these elements, the full creative potential cannot be achieved.
